Kazi Nabil Ahmed by the Genome Center
The present building of the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) of Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) is being further expanded upward to accelerate the social and cultural activities of the students. Kazi Nabil Ahmed, Member of Parliament for Jessore-3 constituency and member of the Regent Board of the highest policy-making forum of the university, inaugurated the upward extension work of the building with JUST Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Anwar Hossain along with teachers and staff of the university.
The foundation stone of this upward expansion of the TSC building was laid at 11 am on Sunday, May 2, in the area adjacent to the main gate of JUST. The inaugural ceremony of the upward expansion of the building was organized very briefly in compliance with the hygiene rules. The six-storey building will have various facilities including an auditorium, administrative, offices of various social and cultural organizations, canteen and so on. Kazi Nabil Ahmed, Member of Parliament for Jessore-3 constituency, addressed a brief discussion after laying the foundation stone for the upward expansion of the building. He said the way the university has been made dynamic in the last four years has been accelerated; Hopefully, it will continue in the coming days as well. He announced to pay taka 50,000 per month for the next six months for the salaries and maintenance of the persons engaged in corona tests at the RT-PCR testing lab at the Genome Center in JUST. He then handed over taka 50,000 of the first month to the Vice-Chancellor of JUST. JUST Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Anwar Hossain said that the Genome Center of JUST has given permission to foreigners to test corona. Hopefully, we can start this after Eid. Many people in Jessore, including MP Kazi Nabil Ahmed, tried to get this permission. I sincerely thank and appreciate everyone in this regard. At the same time, I would like to thank Kazi Nabil Ahmed for standing by the Genome Center. A few days ago, Jessore Deputy Commissioner Tamizul Islam Khan provided financial assistance of taka one lakh to run the Genome Center, for which I also thank him. Treasurer of JUST Prof. Md. Abdul Majid, Dean Prof. Dr. Syed Md. Ghalib, Professor Mrityunjaya Biswas, Professor Md. Ziaul Amin, Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun, Dr. Sumon Chandra Mohant, Dr. Md. Mehedi Hasan, senior professor Md. Anisur Rahman, Professor Sheikh Mizanur Rahman, Professor Biplob Kumar Biswas, Professor Md. Iqbal Kabir Zahid, Registrar Engineer. Ahsan Habib, Director of Student Counseling and Guidance Md. Alam Hossain, General Secretary of the Teachers Association Amjad Hossain, President of the Officers Association Md. Abdur Rauf, executive engineer Nazmus Shakib, Employees Association President Shawkat Islam Sabuj, General Secretary Badiuzzaman Badal and others were present during the inauguration of the upward extension work of the building. Besides, Shaheed Moshiur Rahman Hall branch BCL president Biplob De Shanto, BCL leaders Al-Mamun Shimon, Ruhul Quddus Rohit, Ashiq Khandaker, Nur Mohammad Tony, Kamrul Hasan Shihab, Joint General Secretary of the Journalists Association Nazmul Hossain and others were present. After the inauguration of the foundation stone of the upward expansion work of the building, special prayers took place. Senior Imam of the central mosque of JUST, Maulana Mohammad Akramul Islam conducted the prayers.
